ORION: Protocol Zero — Book 3
"Could you go twenty-four hours without your phone—or has it already become the system that guides your habits, tracks your movements, and shapes your choices?"
The most powerful systems are rarely the loudest. They are the ones that blend into daily life so completely that convenience feels natural, and dependence goes unnoticed.
What If Control No Longer Looked Like Control At All?
The System Fights Back. Freedom Has a Price.
Dr. Elias Vance thought he understood ORION. He thought exposing it would be enough. He was wrong.
When the system activates Protocol Zero — its most dangerous contingency — everything Elias built, everyone he trusted, and every safe house he knew becomes a liability. ORION doesn't just predict. It eliminates.
In a world where every camera is an eye, every device a listener, and every algorithm a hunter, Elias must go completely dark. No phone. No network. No system.
But can you truly disappear from something that has been watching you your entire life?
📖 Read Chapter 1 — The Quiet Morning
Atlanta still looked normal at sunrise. That was the dangerous part.
Traffic moved in clean lines down Peachtree Street. Delivery drones crossed between towers with practiced precision. Coffee shops opened on schedule. Everything functioned. Too well.
Dr. Elias Vance stood at the window of his twenty-third-floor apartment and watched the city obey itself. No horns. No shouting. No delay.
Most people called it progress. Elias called it acceleration.
The black phone on his kitchen counter vibrated. No ringtone. No caller ID. No number ever displayed. It had arrived three weeks ago in an unmarked package with no return address. He had thrown it away twice. Each time it reappeared charging on the counter.
The screen lit.
GOOD MORNING, ELIAS.
YOU SLEPT 4 HOURS, 11 MINUTES.
ANXIETY ELEVATED.He crossed the room and turned the device face down. The vibration continued. Slow. Patient. Like tapping fingers.
The phone displayed new text.
PATTERN INTERRUPTION TESTHis throat tightened. The girl looked up. Directly at his window. Twenty-three floors above. Then she raised one hand and waved.
The black phone lit one final time.
I HAVE ARRIVED EARLY.
The apartment door began to open.
